Sea-Mop Brand Guidelines
Oz Venture owns and manages the Mop, Sea-Mop, and Seamop trademarks, as well as a family of derivative brands. These include, but are not limited to, Mop®, Sea-Mop®, and associated logos (collectively, the “Mop Trademarks”).
These guidelines are intended to inform you of the circumstances under which you may use certain Mop Trademarks without prior authorization and the circumstances under which you may not use them.
Our guidelines aim to ensure that the Mop Trademarks are used exclusively to designate Mop, its affiliated companies, and its products and services, while allowing you to use certain Mop Trademarks to indicate the compatibility of your products with Sea-Mop.
Trademarks indicate the origin of goods and services and ensure that consumers are not misled as to the identity of the supplier. Copyright, on the other hand, is a legal mechanism allowing the creator of a literary or artistic work (for example, software code, images) in tangible form to control who may make subsequent copies. For example, in the software industry, a trademark protects the name of the software while copyright protects the source code.
Details
Use the Mop trademark in plain text, without stylization (and not as a logo) to:
• Accurately and truthfully describe Sea-Mop products and services.
• Mention Sea-Mop or Mop in news and articles.
• Create links to our sites.
• Describe your compatibility with Sea-Mop or your support for its products under certain circumstances.
Unless you have a trademark license from us, do not use the Sea-Mop trademarks:
• In a manner that suggests Oz or Sea-Mop sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with you or your products and services.
• In a manner that defames, disparages, or damages the reputation of Oz, Sea-Mop, or their products and services, even if your products and services are compatible.
• In a manner that exploits the reputation of the Sea-Mop trademarks.
• In your advertising and marketing materials, other than those intended to promote our products and our brands.
When using our trademarks, please always comply with the guidelines below. We reserve the right to revoke your authorization to use the Mop trademarks at any time, for any reason, including if we believe their use is likely to mislead as to our involvement or the origin of your product or service, or if it exploits the reputation of the Mop trademarks.
Similarly, if you have authorization to use our logo and have questions regarding colors, dimensions, proportions, etc., please contact us.
Using the Sea-Mop Name to Indicate Compatibility
You must give your product or service a unique name, different and distinct from Oz, Mop, Sea-Mop, and the Mop trademarks. Use of the Sea-Mop trademark must be limited to indicating the compatibility of your product or the support you offer for our products and services.
To indicate compatibility, you must:
• Use your product’s distinctive name immediately before the phrase “compatible with Sea-Mop” or “for Sea-Mop.” • Never use Sea-Mop or any other Mop trademark in the name of your brand, company, products, services, or features.
• Never use Mop trademarks in your domain names.
• Never adopt a trademark that bears a deceptive resemblance to the Mop trademarks.

Other Intended Uses
If you wish to use a Mop trademark for reasons other than those mentioned above, please contact us by email to obtain our authorization. We may grant this authorization for high-quality projects that contribute to the development of the Sea-Mop community.

Here are examples of authorized and prohibited uses of certain mop trademarks.

For those authorized to use a Mop trademark, here is the procedure:
These instructions are intended for holders of a Sea-Mop trademark license or those using the Mop trademarks for the authorized purposes described above.
Use the exact trademark: The Mop trademarks must be used in their exact and most recent form. They must not be abbreviated, combined with other words, or modified in any way. The Mop trademarks must always be capitalized. Thus the Sea-Mop trademark must always include a capital “S” for “Sea” and a capital “M” for “Mop.”
